What this service is
LawyerInsight lets you search public Supreme Court of India records, track cases and ask an AI assistant about them. The judgments, orders and case status we show come from public court records, not from you.
What we collect about you
Your email address and a password, which we store only in hashed form, so that you can sign in.
The cases you track, your alert settings and the notifications we send you.
On the mobile app, a device token so that we can send you push notifications, and your language choice.
The questions you ask the assistant and its answers, kept as your chat history so that you can return to a conversation.
Crash and error reports from the app and website. They never include your email, your password or sign-in tokens, the text of your searches, or the content of your cases.
Voice
If you tap the microphone beside the text box, your phone turns your speech into text on the device itself. We do not receive or store any recording; only the text you choose to send is sent.
If you use live voice (the Talk button, when it is available on your plan), your speech is streamed while you talk to our server and from there to Google's Gemini service, which turns it into the spoken reply. We do not keep the recording. The words of the conversation are saved in your chat history, like a typed chat, and you can delete them at any time. Live voice has a daily time limit.
How we use it
To run your account, show your tracked cases, send the alerts you asked for, answer your questions and keep the service secure and working. To answer an assistant question, the question and the public case records it needs are processed by an AI language model service. We do not use your data to rank or promote any lawyer, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Account, then Delete account, or on the website in your account settings. Deleting removes your tracked cases, alerts, preferences, registered devices, share links and chat history. Public court records are not affected.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask to see, correct or erase your personal data and may complain about how it is handled. You can do most of this yourself in the app or website; for anything else use the contact address below.
Security and children
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on servers we control. The service is not meant for children under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
