Terms of use

Using the service
By creating an account or using LawyerInsight you agree to these terms. Searching public records is free; some features need an account.
Information, not legal advice
Everything we show is information drawn from public Supreme Court records, with our own tallies and estimates. It is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Check anything that matters against the court's own record before you rely on it.
Accuracy and estimates
Court records can contain errors or gaps, and our copies can lag behind the court's website. Dates such as a likely next listing, and times to cure a defect, are estimates and are labelled as such: check with the Registry. Statistics are court-wide or by cohort and never describe a named judge or bench or predict a case.
Your account
Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through it.
What you may not do
Do not misuse the service: no automated bulk collection, no attempts to break or overload it, no use of it to rank or promote advocates, and no use that breaks the law or the court's rules.
The AI assistant
Assistant answers are generated from the records it looks up and cite their sources. They can still be wrong or incomplete, so verify before acting.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that results from relying on information in the service.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
