Questions people ask
Is searching free?
Yes. Searching cases, judges and advocates is open to everyone. A free account lets you add cases, get alerts and use the assistant.
Where does the information come from?
From public records of the Supreme Court of India: case status, orders and judgments. Each figure names its source. A case can be missing or a little behind the court, so check the court's own record for anything you act on.
Are the dates exact?
Next-listing windows and defect deadlines are estimates and are always labelled as such. Confirm with the Registry or the cause list.
Does LawyerInsight rank or recommend lawyers?
No. Advocates appear only as factual tallies with their source, and the platform does not advertise or rank them. It shows no outcome statistics for a named judge or bench.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is an information tool and does not replace advice from an advocate or the court's own records.
What does the assistant do?
It answers questions about the records by looking them up, and cites the source of each answer. Every figure in an answer comes from those lookups. Check the cited source before relying on it.
