Section 62. Punishment for obstructing or impersonating a Food Safety Officer.
If a person without reasonable excuse, 1[impersonates, threatens, intimidates or assaults] a Food Safety Officer in exercising his functions under this Act, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months and also with fine which may extend to one lakh rupees.
