Section 11. Chief Executive Officer and other officers and employees of Foundation.

(1) The President of the Governing Board may appoint a Chief Executive Officer, not below the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India, for efficient administration of the Foundation. (2) The qualifications, experience, salary and allowances payable to and the other terms and conditions of service of the Chief Executive Officer shall be such as may be prescribed. (3) The Executive Council may appoint such other officers and employees as it considers necessary for the efficient discharge of its functions under this Act. (4) The qualifications, experience, salary and allowances payable to and the other terms and conditions of service of the other officers and employees of the Foundation shall be such as may be prescribed. (5) The Executive Council may engage the services of such persons, both from within and outside India, as consultants and visiting scientists to the Foundation. (6) The eligibility criteria and honorarium payable to the consultants and visiting scientists, referred to in sub-section (5), shall be such as may be specified by the regulations.
