The Madras Civil Courts' Act, 1873
Section 8. District Courts, Subordinate Judges and District Munsifs.
The present Zila Courts, Principal Sadr Amins, and District Munsifs, shall be respectively the first "District Courts," "Subordinate Judges," and "Dis-District rict Munsifs" under this Act.
