The Madras District Police Act, 1859
Section 41. Party arrested to be brought immediately to the authority mentioned in the warrant.
After arrest made, the Police Officer executing the warrant shall without unnecessary delay bring the person arrested before the Magistrate or other authority described in the warrant.
