THE JAMMU AND KASHMIR KAHCHARAI ACT, 2011 (1954 A. D. )
Section 24. Powers to search on reasonable suspicion.
Any Kahcharai officer may search any place or premises ; provided that such officer has reason to believe that taxable or prohibited animals are concealed therein :
Provided further that no dwelling house is searched by an officer lower in rank than a Forest Ranger.
