1THE JAMMU AND KASHMIR EXCISE ACT, SAMVAT 1958 (1901 A.D.)
Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1) This Act may be cited as the Jammu and Kashmir Excise Act, 1958.
(2) It extends to the 3[whole of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir].
(3) It shall come into force in any local area within the said territories to such extent and from such date as the 4[ Government of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir] by notification shall direct.
