Section 77. Election for the purpose of constituting the Senate, the Syndicate, and the Academic Council under the Act

The Chancellor shall make such arrangements for holding election under the Act that the newly elected, appointed, nominated and co-opted members of the Senate, the Syndicate and the Academic Council, as constituted under this Act, assume charge of their respective offices from of the date following the expiry of the period specified in section 75; and the term of office of the members of the said authorities shall be deemed to have commenced from the said date.
