The Maharashtra Inferior Village Watans Abolition Act.
Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the 1[Maharashtra Inferior Village Watans Abolition Act].
(2) It extends to the 2[Bombay area of the State of Maharashtra] and to the Hyderabad area of the State of Bombay.
(3) This section shall come into force at once.
(4) The State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force in such local 3area and on such 4date as may be specified in the notification.
