The Maharashtra Merged Territories (Janjira and Bhor) Khoti Tenure Abolition Act.
Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the 1[Maharashtra Merged Territories (Janjira and Bhor) Khoti Tenure Abolition Act.]
(2) It extends to the merged territories of the former State of Janjira (hereinafter referred to as the merged territories of Janjira) and to the merged territories of the former State of Bhor (hereinafter referred to as the merged territories of Bhor) included in the district of Kolaba.
(3) It shall come into force on such date2 as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
