The Maharashtra Private Professional Educational Institutions (Reservation of seats for admission for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, De-notified Tribes (Vimukta Jatis), Nomadic Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act, 2006.

Section 11. Provisions not to prohibit Minority Educational Institutions from making reservations.

Notwithstanding anything contained in any other provisions of this Act, any Minority Educational Institution, whether aided or not, may provide for reservation in admissions to Professional Courses for candidates belonging to the Reserved Category.
