Section 100. Relaxation or modification of certain provisions of Corporation Act or Regional and Town Planning Act in case of Board’s reconstruction proposal.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the provisions of the Corporation Act or the Town Planning Act, or any rules, by-laws, regulations, plans, schemes, notifications, directions or orders made or issued or deemed to be made or issued under any of those Acts, the State Government may, having regard to the necessity of providing alternative accommodation to occupiers, who have been, or are likely to be, dishoused on account of any reconstruction proposal or proposals undertaken by the Board under this Chapter, after consultation with 1[the Mumbai Corporation] by general or special order, relax all or any of the provisions aforesaid in the case of any such proposal or class of proposals, or may be like order direct that any such provisions shall apply to any such proposal or class of proposals, subject to such modifications or conditions as it may specify in the order.
