The Maharashtra Prohibition Act
Section 12. Power of Gram Sabha to enforce prohibition or to regulate or restrict the sale and consumption of any intoxicant.
No person shall-
(a) manufacture liquor;
(b) construct or work any distillery or brewery;
(c) import, export, transport or possess liquor; or
(d) sell or buy liquor.
