The Meghalaya Interpretation and General Clauses Act , 1970 Act No.7 of 1970

Section 12. Gender and number.

In all enactments unless a different intention appears- (a) words importing the masculine gender shall be taken to include females. (b) words in the singular shall be taken to include the plural and vice-versa.
