The Meghalaya Municipal (Garo Hills Autonomous District) Act,1978 (Act No.7 of 1978)
Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1) This Act may be called the Meghalaya Municipal (Garo Hills Autonomous District) Act, 1978.
(2) It extends to the Garo Hills Autonomous District.
(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 7th day of January, 1978
