Section 8. Officers of Council

8. Officers of Council. — (1) The Director of Medical and Health Services, Rajasthan, shall ex-officio be the President of the Council. (2) There shall also be a Vice-President who shall be elected by the Council from amongst its members in the prescribed manner and shall hold office so long as he continues to be the member of the Council or for a period of three years, whichever is earlier. (3) The Vice-President may resign his office by notice in writing to the President, and on his resignation being accepted by the Council, shall vacate the office of the Vice-President (4) When the office of the Vice-President becomes vacant through death, resignation or otherwise, another member of the Council shall be elected to the office in the prescribed manner.
