Section 10. Furnishing of returns by persons holding land in excess of ceiling area

Within hundred-twenty days from the commencement of this Act every person, who on the date of such commencement holds land in excess of ceiling area applicable to him shall, in respect of land held by such person on such date, furnish to the authorised officer within whose jurisdiction the holding of such person or the major part thereof is situated a return in such form and containing such particulars as may be prescribed: Provided that a person holding land in the Rajasthan Canal Project Area on 1st day of January, 1973 in excess of the ceiling area applicable to him shall file a return within hundred twenty days of the publication of the Rajasthan Imposition of Ceiling on Agricultural Holdings (Second Amendment) Act, 1974 in the Rajasthan Gazette in the manner laid down above.
