Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement

1. (1) This Act may be called the 1[Uttar Pradesh] Municipalities Act, 1916. 2[ (2) It shall extend to the whole of Uttar Pradesh. ] (3) It shall come into force on the first day of July, 1916.
