THE UNITED PROVINCES PRIVATE FORESTS ACT, 1948

Section 4. Power to prohibit the cutting of trees

4. (1) The State Government may by notification and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed by the Forest Officer concerned, prohibit the cutting of any trees in such area or forest as may be specified.
