THE UNITED PROVINCES MEDICAL ACT, 1917
Section 10. Filling of casual vacancies
If a member of the Council dies or resigns his membership, or ceases to be a member as provided in section 9 (I), the vacancy shall be filled within three months by a fresh election or nomination, as the case may be.
