THE UTTAR PRADESH GROUND WATER (MANAGEMENT AND REGULATION) ACT, 2019
Section 1. Short title, extent and commencement
(1)This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Ground Water (Management and Regulation) Act, 2019.
(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Uttar Pradesh.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint and different dates for different areas may be appointed.
(4)Penal provisions made under this Act shall not be applicable on domestic and agricultural users of ground water.
