Section 18. Restriction on disclosure of information

(1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, information in respect of any person or business which, has been furnished to, or obtained by, the Commission under without the consent of the concerned person or the person in –charge of the business : Provided that such information my be disclosed to the Central Government, the State Government, Accountant General of the State or a person who requires it in connection with the discharge of statutory duties. (2) The restriction contained in sub-section (1) shall not apply to the information related to tariff. (3) Information in possession of the Commission shall be kept confidential and may be furnished to nay person or agency only with the permission of the Commission.
