Where to find Supreme Court orders and judgments
The official places to look for daily orders, record of proceedings and judgments, and how to check you have the right document.

The authoritative source for the Court's orders and judgments is its official website. The menu there has separate sections for the cause list, case status, daily orders and judgments. Menu names and layout change from time to time, so look for these sections rather than a fixed address.
Orders and judgments are different documents
- Daily orders and record of proceedings. What the court recorded on a hearing date: adjournments, directions, notice issued. Find them from the case's status page by date.
- Judgments. The reasoned decision. Judgments are listed in their own section and can be searched by date and other details.
Checking you have the right one
- Match the case number or diary number printed on the document.
- Match the date of the order you want. A matter can have several orders in a week.
- For judgments, check the neutral citation on the first page (see the guide on neutral citations).
- Keep the downloaded copy and note where and when you got it.
When the order is not up yet
Orders are uploaded after the hearing, sometimes with a delay. If you cannot find an order, check again later and read the date on the page. Do not rely on a summary from a messaging group for anything you will file or advise on.
LawyerInsight shows the orders it has for a case in one timeline with a link to the source document. It is a convenience: the official copy stays the one to cite.
