Why every number in LawyerInsight shows its source
How we define, count and label statistics, and how to check one yourself.

A statistic with no definition is easy to misread. So each number in LawyerInsight links to what it counts, where the records come from and what is left out.
How to check a number
- Find the link or note next to the figure and open it on the methodology page.
- Read what is counted, and the group of matters it covers.
- Compare with the official record when it matters to your work.
What we leave out on purpose
We do not rank lawyers. We do not show outcome rates for a named judge or bench. Outcome statistics are court-wide, by bench size or by cohort.
When a number looks wrong
Tell us at support@lawyerinsight.in with the page and the figure. Records come from public sources and can contain gaps, so we would rather correct than defend.
